Table Wizard

The Table Wizard is a plugin, available from the Tools menu. It aids in quickly creating customized table. The wizard can also import data from a variety of data sources and formats.

Table Data Source

The first step, Table Data Source, lets you specify whether you'd like to import data from a source such as the selected text in the current open document, the clipboard, or from a file. If you chose to import data from a source, the next step in the wizard is Table Data Format.

Table Data Format

This step displays the imported data in a textbox, which you can modify. It also lets you choose from three methods for parsing the data, by tabs, commas, and line feeds.

Table Setup

The next step is the Table Setup. In this step, you specify the number of rows and columns in the table. You can click on a cell in the table preview to highlight it and then set its ROWSPAN and COLSPAN attributes. Pressing the Next button proceeds to the Table Attributes step.

Here is where you define the various attributes of the TABLE tag.

Table Cell Attributes

In the following step, Table Cell Attributes, you define all of the attributes of the cell tags in the table. You can change the content of the cells, make them header cells, or specify common attributes.

Table Preview

Finally, in the last step, the Table Preview, you see exactly what your table will look like in the browser. Press the Finish button to create the table in the current document.
